FootballSSG competitions are held at Pittwater ‘Rat’ Park, a part of the North Narrabeen Reserve sporting complex, located on Pittwater Road, North Narrabeen FootballSSG are Manly Warringah summer soccer competitions run mid-week, on your choice of Tuesday or Thursday afternoons and evenings We created the FootballSSG to aid in the ongoing growth and development of the game of football, and in particular, to aid in the natural development of player’s technical skills The basics of FootballSSG and futsal are very similar. Most of the rules are similar including: the size of the field; the non-contact nature of play; and the length of the matches. The key and fundamental difference between FootballSSG and futsal is that we play on turf and use a turf ball (like you would use in your full-sized-field winter competition). This is because we want our players to improve their technical football skills, something we feel is best done using the ball and the surface they will experience in their regular winter competition. You might just want to have fun. You might want to improve or enhance your fitness. All of these are valid reasons to play FootballSSG, Manly Warringah summer soccer. The key and fundamental difference between FootballSSG and futsal is that we play on turf and use a turf ball (like you would use in your full-sized-field winter competition) FootballSSG aids in the ongoing growth and development of the game of football, and in particular, aids in the natural development of player’s technical skills Small sided football helps to improve technical skills such as ball control, short passing and dribbling. And it helps to improve tactical skills such as using space, passing and moving and playing a through ball.

Free Playing Uniform Colours

FootballSSG provides all registered players with a free playing uniform. These uniforms are designed such that there is no colour clashes in any game (the colours are clearly distinguishable from each other, even under floodlighting). They also allow us to easily identify that a player is registered (and therefore insured to play). Under the FootballSSG Playing Rules players are required to wear the provided uniform ... incorrect uniform = no game ... no exceptions.

Register before 1st August to select your preferred playing colours PLUS receive free socks

FootballSSG is pleased to offer all teams registering prior to 1st August the opportunity to select your preferred playing colours from our range (below) plus receive free playing socks for each player registered in the team. Here’s how it works:

  1. First in best dressed ... if you register on the 24th June and another team registered on 21st June, they get first pick.
  2. You must have a minimum of 5 players to register your team under this offer ... you can make up the numbers to the minimum required (8 players) any time prior 1st September.
  3. You will receive free socks for each player registered on or before 31st July ... players that register after 31st July will need to supply their own matching socks.
  4. You register (the system records the date and time) ... we will contact you later to obtain your colour selection.

What about socks?

The FootballSSG Playing Rules require that all members of a team wear the same colour socks.
  - Teams that register before 1st August will be provided a free pair of socks for each individual player in the team that has registered
    before 1st August, players that register for that team on or after 1st August will need to purchase or supply their own matching socks.
  - Individual players that register before 1st August will also receive free socks if they are placed in a team that has also registered
    before 1st August.

Teams or individual players that register on or after 1st August can either:
  (a) organise their own socks (they don’t have to match the colour of the uniform, they just have to be all the same), or
  (b) request that FootballSSG organise socks for the team (which can be supplied at $10 per player).

Depending on availability, top quality* socks can be supplied in Black, Green, White, Red, Royal Blue, Sky Blue, Orange and Yellow.

   * Honestly, these are the best quality playing sock I’ve ever used. Talk to anyone that’s bought these socks from us
    in the past three seasons and I’m completely confident they’ll confirm ... these are a brilliant football sock! Stuart.
